During the 115th anniversary celebration on October 21, Hwa Nan Women’s Study Center was inaugurated and its first exchange event was held.

In the presence of Hwa Nan leaders, guests, faculty and staff representatives and alumni representatives, Council Chair Yu Rongmin delivered a speech and inaugurated Women’s Study Center together with President Ren Jianhong, Former President of Jinling Women’s College and Wu Yifang Study Center Director Qian Huanqi, and Nanjing University Press Chief Editor Xu Lei.

In the exchange activity, Women’s Study Center Director Su Mengna made a report on the 2023-2025 work plan of Women’s Study Center.  Professor Qian Huanqi gave a lecture on Wu Yifang’s educational thoughts and practice, provoking teachers and students to think about the subject on the centennial old women’s college spirit’s nurturing minds and guiding life of today’s modern women.  President Ren Jianhong and Professor Qian Huanqi exchanged gifts on behalf of the two earliest women’s colleges in China, opening up new prospects for deeper relationship and exchanges.  Outstanding alumnae Chen Cuihong, Huang Shaoqing, Jiang Limei shared their stories with Hwa Nan.  The spirit of Hwa Nan shined in each of their stories which teachers and students resonated with and benefited greatly from.
