On the afternoon of September 28, Hwa Nan held National Day Celebration and 38th Teacher’s Day Commendation Meeting. The meeting was attended by senior teacher representative Ma Xiufa, Council Chair Yu Rongmin, President Ren Jianhong, Party Secretary Li Tingwang, Vice President Zhang Qiuping and Huang Leijing, Deputy Party Secretary Wu Lanjia, all faculty, staff and some students. Vice President Huang Leijing chaired the meeting.
President Ren Jianhong on behalf of Hwa Nan conveyed festival greetings and regards to all faculty and staff. She affirmed the achievement made in the past year and thanked students and teachers for their hard work. She put forward three expectations for all faculty and staff. The first is to foster virtues and live up to the name of teacher. The second is to conscientiously learn and practice to perfection, seek truth and make innovation. The third is to assume responsibility and make contributions. She wished all faculty and staff stay true to the original aspiration and mission of fostering talents for the Party and the nation, stick to the mission of fostering virtues through education, become qualified teachers with firm ideals and beliefs, moral sentiments, solid knowledge and benevolence, and take concrete actions to create better future for Hwa Nan to ensure that excellent results are achieved by the time the 20th National Congress is convened.
The meeting commended Lei Ming for the Most Outstanding College Student Counselor of Fujian Province and 2022 Fuzhou Youth May 4th Medal, Wang Ling, Chen Xiaomei and Zhang Min for the thirty year work anniversary at Hwa Nan, Tian Zhongyu, Yu Rongmin, Yi Haoqing, Zhen Lin, and Pan Shaofang for the 6th All-round Education Models, Yi Haoqing for the 3rd Most Outstanding Teacher and 36 teachers for the Outstanding Teacher Award of 2021-2022 Academic Year. Senior teacher Ma and six other college leaders presented the awards to them and thanked them for their contributions to the development of Hwa Nan. Chen Xiaomei, Yi Haoqing, and Zheng Minyi gave emotional and touching speeches, expressing their passion and love of Hwa Nan.
After the commendation, new teachers introduced themselves. Council Chair Yu Rongmin, President Ren Jianhong and Party Secretary Li Tingwang presented them the school badges. Led by Vice President Zhang Qiuping and administered by Deputy Secretary Wu Lanjia, the new teachers and students from Education Department solemnly swore of staying true to the original aspiration and mission of imparting knowledge, cultivating people, and fostering virtue in education.
