On November 3, the kick-off ceremony of Hwa Nan Oral History project was held in Classroom Building 1-402.  Council Chair Su Mengna, Vice President Zhang Qiuping, Deputy Secretary Wu Lanjia, project members and the experts from the project partner Guanli Studio.

Council Chair Su Mengna said in her speech the oral history is of great significance to the development of Hwa Nan.  She hopes all project members carry forward Hwa Nan spirit, implement the motto of Self-improvement, Pioneering, Diligence, and Dedication and successfully complete the project to pay tribute to the 115th anniversary of Hwa Nan.

At the ceremony, Council Chair Su Mengna, Vice President Zhang Qiuping, Deputy Secretary Wu Lanjia and Alumnae Association President Wang Qiuxiang presented appointment certificates to the leadership group, the interview group, the proofreading group, and the logistics group.  Council Chair Su Mengna led the project members to make solemn promise of adhering to the principles of materialism, neutrality and academic professionalism, following the protocols and standards of oral history, staying true to the history and the facts, making concerted efforts, and working closely to ensure the project completes successfully as planned.

After the ceremony, experts of the project partner Zhou Yongqing and Luo Xi gave trainings to the project members on basic knowledge of oral history, Hwa Nan oral history approaches, and gave lectures on protocols, standards and techniques of doing an oral history.
