On the afternoon of March 16, Deputy Director Liu Jian of Fujian Education Department, Director Luo Qiang of Vocational Education Division, Director Gong Sen of Fujian Vocational Education Center made an inspection trip to Hwa Nan and offered guidance.  Council Chair Su Mengna, President Ren Jianhong, Party Secretary Wang Haiyan, Vice President Huang Leijing, Vice President Zhang Qiuping and Deputy Party Secretary Wu Lanjia, Dean’s Office Director, Practical Training Center Director and Department Chairs attended the meeting.

Accompanied by Hwa Nan administrators, Deputy Director Liu Jian and his entourage visited the campus and the history gallery to know about the history, the education philosophy, the unique features, the achievement and the development goals of Hwa Nan.  Afterward, they toured to the digital and IT application demonstration zone, health care and nursing practice center, Clothing Design studio and student works exhibition, and talked with students preparing for the skill competition of the provincial vocational colleges.

President Ren Jianhong gave a report on the school operation and the future reform and development goals.  Deputy Director Liu Jian fully affirmed the achievement of Hwa Nan and pointed out that Hwa Nan shall take opportunities, implement General Secretary Xi’s aspiration in founding the university city, develop proactive thinking and strategic planning, formulate the high quality 14th Five-Year Plan with high standards, take full advantage of  quality educational resource sharing in the university city,  pay attention to education quality, consolidate majors to forge a synergy for its development, strengthen uniqueness, and build high quality groups of specialties.  He also said Hwa Nan shall remain non profit, make full use of alumna resources, broaden employment channels for graduates, establish education funds to promote the development, and leverage the unique strength gaining in its century old international exchange, and upgrade the level of opening up.
