On the morning of March 10, Deputy Director Li Xun of Fujian Education Department visited Hwa Nan and inspected the work on graduates’ employment.  Council Chair Su Mengna, President Ren Jianhong, Party Secretary Wang Haiyan, Vice President Huang Leijing, Vice President Zhang Qiuping and Deputy Party Secretary Wu Lanjia, Admission and Student Employment Office, Student Affairs Office, Dean’s Office, and Party Branch Secretaries attended the meeting.

Accompanied by Hwa Nan administrators, Deputy Director Li Xun and his entourage visited the campus and the history gallery to know about the development, the education philosophy, the unique features and the achievement of Hwa Nan. 

At the meeting afterwards, Vice President Huang Leijing gave a report on the graduates’ employment work for Class 2021, the priority and the approaches of graduates’ employment work in the future.  She said the college administrators paid high attention to graduates’ employment, and fully implemented “president project”, “full participation”, and “accountability system for reaching the employment targets”.  She reviewed the characteristics of graduate employment work of Hwa Nan, which include building employment guidance team, involving alumnae, upgrading service, setting up comprehensive and multidimensional employment platforms, and developing employment seeking culture.  Graduates were encouraged to actively seek employment through targeted instruction, meticulous service, and precise support.

Deputy Director Li Xun made inquiries in detail about the graduates’ employment of Class 2020.  He especially cared about the employment assistance given to the sixty-four students facing economic hardship.  He said China had achieved complete victory in eradicating absolute poverty.  Giving continuous support to students facing economic hardship and providing channels to promote their employment is to ensure alleviation work result more sustainable.  He pointed out that employment is a key indicator of college education outcomes.  Hwa Nan should make unremitting efforts to improve the education quality, the education outcomes, and the students’ core competitiveness.

President Ren Jianhong appreciated the affirmation and guidance given by the Education Department leader.  She said Hwa Nan will ensure stability on the six fronts and security in the six areas, continue to draw lessons from the experiences, improve working methods, solidly carry out the employment work, and constantly improve the quality of the employment work.
