Orientation Week for 2020 New Students Closed Successfully

 

To help new students to adapt to the new environment and to embark on their new life, Hwa Nan held orientation for students of Class 2020 from Oct.10 to Oct.16.
The orientation focused on ten subject issues, including patriotism education, Hwa Nan history education, CPC and Communist Youth League knowledge, student status management regulations, school ethos and disciplines, life safety education, mental health education, library introduction, and campus environment and facility introduction. Various wide-ranging orientation activities enabled new students to have full and in-depth understanding of the school, the teaching, and the service, which will prepare them to better integrate into college life, and to make reasonable and scientific plan for their college life.

Two unique orientation activities of Hwa Nan were also arranged for the new students. The first is a guided tour to Hwa Nan History Gallery. Students from Tourism Management Program gave interpretation of college history to new students. The gallery displays photos featuring college century old history, philosophy of the school, achievements in the industry university research cooperation and campus culture. The visit helps new students to know about the past and the present of Hwa Nan, and strengthen their senses of identity and belonging. The second is an etiquette training program. Senior students from Student Union Office of Protocol designed a practical and professional etiquette training program for new students . Through the program, new students will master some basic business etiquette and gradually develop good behavior through etiquette practice, which will contribute to good campus atmosphere for everybody to know about etiquette, to pay attention to etiquette and to practice etiquette.
