At eight o’clock on the morning of Oct. 12, the opening ceremony for 2020 new students was held in the sports field. Council Chair Su Mengna, President Ren Jianhong, Party Secretary Wang Haiyan, Vice President Huang Leijing, Vice President Zhang Quiping, Vice President Wu Lanjia, faculty and staff members, and all new students attended the ceremony. Vice President Huang Leijing was the master of the ceremony.
The ceremony started in the solemn national anthem. President Ren Jianhong on behalf of the college welcomed 2011 new students to join the Hwa Nan family. She sincerely wished new students to love what they have chosen and be responsible for themselves, to have dreams and assume obligations to the country, to take up responsibilities and fulfill duties for the society. She expected 2020 new students to have an ardent love for life, to cherish the time, to learn appreciation and to harvest friendship. She encouraged students to be independent, innovative, courageous, and diligent so in three years’ time they would surpass themselves, accomplish learning, and become creative talents with profound love for the family and the country, with global perspective, and with learning ability, critical thinking, and power of action.
