On June 5, 2020, Fujian China Vocational Education Association held a forum on key projects in Hwa Nan.  Secretary Wang Qiumei of the Leading Party Members Group of Fujian China Vocational Education Association attended the symposium and delivered a speech.  Member of the Leading Party Members Group of Fujian China Vocational Education Association and Deputy Director Chen Yiping, Deputy Director of United Front Work Department of Fuzhou City Committee of the CPC Cheng Hui, officials from Fuzhou Education Bureau, Fuzhou vocational college leaders and secondary vocational school principals attended symposium.  Deputy Director of Fuzhou China Vocational Education Association Yao Wennan presided over the meeting.

Hwa Nan President Ren Jianhong welcomed leaders and colleagues from sister institutions.  She briefly introduced Hwa Nan and recalled the inspection visit paid by General Secretary Xi Jinping who was then Fuzhou Municipal Party Committee Secretary. 

At the meeting, Vocational and Adult Education Office Director Weng Yunfeng from Fuzhou Education Bureau gave an introduction about Fuzhou vocational education and vocational skill training.  He also responded to questions raised about the problems and issues in running vocational colleges.  Presidents and principals from Mingjiang Teachers’College, Fuzhou First Technician College, Fuzhou Vocational School of Finance, Fuzhou Construction Vocational School gave speeches at the meeting.  Participants had in-depth discussions and put forward suggestions on vocational education reforms and development of Fujian province.

Secretary Wang Qiumei fully affirmed the development of Fuzhou vocational education and the achievements made by individual schools.  She thanked the participants for supporting the symposium.  She said General Secretary Xi Jinping of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee worked seventeen and a half years in Fujian province and left us with a rich heritage.  During the six years as the president of Mingjiang College, he introduced innovative strategic thoughts and conducted forward-looking practices and explorations about modern vocational education and integration of enterprises with vocational schools.  Wang emphasized the importance of finishing the key projects assigned by China Vocational Education Association and United Front Work Department of Fujian province.  She called on the members of Fujian China Vocational Education Association pay high attention and make all-out efforts to finish the projects.
