On the afternoon of June 3, 2020, Hwa Nan held the appointment meeting，  chaired by Council Chair Su Mengna and attended by council members, college leaders and mid-level administrators.

At the meeting, Chair Su Mengna announced the council decisions on appointing Ren Jianhong as the Seventh President of Hwa Nan and inviting Chen Sheng and Huang Shaoqing from the local community as council members.

Founder, council member, and the Second Fujian Province Outstanding Teacher Award Winner Ma Xiufa delivered a speech at the meeting.  She reiterated the wishes from the New Hwa Nan founders President Yu Baosheng and former Council Chair Chen Zhongying of passing on the leadership of Hwa Nan from one generation to the next within the Hwa Nan family.  She fully affirmed Su Mengna’s contribution and achievement made in her presidency and hoped the new president Ren Jianhong live up the expectations, earnestly perform her duties, and make bold innovations and reform. 

The new president Ren Jianhong made a speech entitled staying true to the founding mission, continuing to forge ahead and working hard to embark on the new development of Hwa Nan.  She extended thanks to the trust and support from the Council.  She said she will succeed and carry forward Hwa Nan spirit and fine tradition, and make utmost efforts to develop Hwa Nan.  She will be a firm inheritor, practitioner, organizer, and coordinator and make positive contributions to the new development of Hwa Nan.
