On the afternoon of Sept. 10, Hwa Nan held Mid Autumn celebration meeting for new students and the president had face to face talk with students.  Council Chair and Substitute President Su Mengna, Party Secretary Wang Haiyan, Vice President Huang Jie, Deputy Secretary Ren Jianhong and Director Huang Leijing of admission and job placement office attended.  The activity was hosted by Director Zhang Lingjuan of student affairs office.

Council Chair Su delivered an effusive speech, welcoming students of Class 2019 and extending holiday greetings and sincere wishes. She then asked about students’ adaptation to the military training and college life and encouraged them to have a vision and plan for the future.  She said the college will create good learning and living environment for them to embark on their new campus life.

At the meeting, student representatives opened up about their feelings since school opening and demonstrated their love and sense of belongings to Hwa Nan. Mobile Commerce student Zhang Siying is from Hei Longjiang province and she enjoys the climate of the south and the high quality living environment, which gave her comfortable new feelings.  Commercial Brokerage and Agency student Li Leyao is from Hui Nan, Jiang Su province and he pointed out Hwa Nan is his new turning point in life.  The real care and warm hearted help made him feel more likely to open up, to change, to break out, and to integrate into the new group.

Participating leaders expressed the holiday greetings and best wishes for students.  Secretary Wang Haiyan hoped the new students transform the role, adapt to the new environment, integrate into new life and achieve a new self.  Vice president Huang Jie encouraged students to treasure their time in school and become a new generation of capable young people who have a good and all-round moral, intellectual, physical, and aesthetical grounding in addition to a hardworking spirit, and who are well-prepared to join the socialist cause.

The participating students said the sincere greetings and exuberant speech from administrators give them a sense of warmth from Hwa Nan family and fill them with confidence in college life.  They will remember the words, positively embrace a new outset of life, strive to be strong and master knowledge and skills.  They will not betray the trust of leaders, teachers and parents and make contributions to Hwa Nan and the society.

At the end of the meeting, administrators presented participating students moon cakes made by faculty and students of Food Nutrition and Inspection Department and asked them to pass on greetings and welcome to their fellow students.
