On the morning of Sept. 3, 2019 new student opening ceremony was held in the athletic field.  Council Chair, administrators, office directors, department chairs, department party branch secretaries and program directors attended the ceremony.

The ceremony started with the solemn national anthem.  Council Chair Su Mengna officially welcomed 1514 new students to join Hwa Nan family.  She made an introduction to the new students of the cultural landscape on campus, to help them appreciate the beauty of the campus, learn about the cultural meaning of the landscape, and better understand the history of Hwa Nan.  To conclude her address, she quoted from the speech made by Xi Jinping, general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, during his inspection tour to Inner Mongolia University in July this year and urged students to “aim high, have their feet firmly on the ground, study hard and contribute their wisdom and strength in the future to the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.” With this quote, she hopes to encourage one another and make unique vision and glorious future together.

After the opening ceremony, new students started one week orientation.
