The national final of 2019 world professional supermodel contest closed in Shanghai International Fashion Center on August 20.  Hwa Nan model team led by teacher Yi Haoqing achieved impressive results in the contest.  Wang Xiheng claims national male model champion and Fujian province male model champion.  Yang Shuyi won silver medal for female model category of Fujian province and Chen Yifang obtained bronze medal for male model of Fujian province.  Both of them ranked top ten in the national final.  Deng Jiuchang, Chen Rong and Chen Zhenghuan were granted individual awards of Fujian province.

World Professional Supermodel Contest (WPSC) was hosted by American Chinese City Culture Exchange Promotion Association, WPMC, Bridge West Group and WPSC.  It is the only world class professional supermodel contest which is held at the same time in seventy countries and more than forty provinces and cities in China.  WPSC, the Fashion Award Show for professional models represents the high level of professional model contest in the world, making world class professional super models, fashion designers, and stylists each year.

On the afternoon of April 14, 2019 World Professional Supermodel Contest（Fujian province）Special Event for University Town was held in Hwa Nan.  Around one hundred contestants from Hwa Nan and other universities competed in the pre-selection.  After half a year of several rounds of pre-selections and final contest within the province, students from Hwa Nan model team worked their way through elimination rounds and made impressive achievements, earning the honors for Hwa Nan and Fujian province.
