On the afternoon of June 19, Hwa Nan 2019 Graduation Ceremony started with national anthem. Teacher and alumni representatives gathered together in the auditorium to celebrate the graduation of 1061 students of Class 2019.
The ceremony was attended by Deputy Director and Secretary General Chen Huang from the Working Committee for the Care of the Next Generation of Fujian Educational Organizations, Council Chair and Acting President Su Mengna, Party Secretary Wang Haiyan, Vice President Huang Jie, Deputy Party Secretary Ren Jianhong and alumnae Ma Xiufa, He Xiaozhi, Wu Meiyu. College Office Director Zhang Qiuping acted as MC.
Council Chair Su Mengna on behalf of Hwa Nan extended warmest congratulations and best wishes to all graduates. She hopes graduates to “ride on the mighty driving force of the new era with full steam, steady helmsmanship and strong morale” to take the lead, to fully present dynamic youth appeal, to live up to the times and to become respondents, dreamers and doers in the new era.
Deputy Director Chen Huang made an aspiring speech filled with his true care for the young generation and Hwa Nan’s development, while giving a very good lesson to the graduates.
Foreign Teacher Laihar in her address expected graduates to be adaptable and courageous in facing difficulties and challenges and to make arduous efforts to attain self fulfillment.
Council Chair Su Mengna called out the names of 2019 graduates and presented graduate diplomas. Party Secretary Wang Haiyan, Vice President Huang Jie and Deputy Secretary Ren Jianhong separately read the names of the provincial and municipal honorary rolls, names of outstanding graduates, names of recipients for National Scholarship, National Encouragement Scholarship, North American Alumnae Association Scholarship, and Hwa Nan Scholarship. They also presented the certificates to the awardees.
Outstanding alumna representative, General Manager of Fuzhou An Wang Trading Company Wang Qiaorong shared with graduates of her entrepreneurship and working experience. She expressed her gratitude to Hwa Nan and wished fellow students to be grateful and to keep in mind the college motto and stride forward.
Student representative Zhou Yiling on behalf of all college students thanked graduates for their caring and help and encouraged each other with the college motto of self perfection, pioneering, diligence, simplicity, and dedication. She wished them great success and a promising future.
Zhuang Zihan on behalf of graduates said in her speech about keeping in mind firmly of teachers’ earnest instructions, forging ahead unswervingly, shouldering responsibilities, pursuing excellence, and writing beautiful chapters for the society and Hwa Nan with what they have learned and contributed.
At the end of the ceremony, graduates made their donation of a classroom entitled Qingen Room of Class 2019. Chair Su Mengna on behalf of the college accepted the donation.
2019 graduation ceremony closed in the college song led by students from Preschool Education.
