On the afternoon of May 29, the Third Young Teacher Teaching Competition for “The Best Lesson” was held in Classroom 4-103 of Fuman Building, co-hosted by the Dean’s Office and the Labor Union.  The old and new teaching supervisor, college administrators and all faculty observed the competition.

Six teachers selected by departments contested in the final competition.  They all presented wonderful teaching demonstration, interacting actively with audience and creating active classroom atmosphere.  The judges gave out scores according to contestants’teaching performance, lesson plans and PPT presentation.  Teachers in the audience also took an active part in the scoring session.  After fierce competition, Qiu Tingting from the Department of International Business Management won the first prize.  Teaching supervisor Lin Han gave comments and made suggestions on contestants’ teaching performance.

Hwa Nan has consistently paid high attention to and cared about the growth and development of young teachers.  The annual Best Lesson competition provides precious opportunity for teachers to learn from each other and to exchange teaching experience, which plays an important role in enhancing young teachers’ teaching skill and quality.
