On the afternoon of May 30, the awarding ceremony for 2017-2018 National Scholarship, National Encouragement Scholarship, North American Alumnae Association Scholarship, and Hwa Nan Scholarship was held in Yu Baosheng Lecture Hall.  The ceremony was attended by deputy secretary Ren Jianhong, directors of External Liaison Office, Finance Office, Student Affairs Office, and Dean’s Office, Party Branch Secretary, counselors, scholarship recipients and student representatives. 

Deputy Secretary first announced the decision about awarding 2017-2018 year National Scholarship, National Encouragement Scholarship, North American Alumnae Association Scholarship, and Hwa Nan Scholarship.  Then she introduced the scholarship recipient selecting procedures.  After that, directors awarded scholarships to the recipients.  National Scholarship recipient Lin Xiaqin, National Encouragement Scholarship recipient Wu Ruiqiong, North American Alumnae Association Scholarship recipient Zhou Yiling, and Hwa Nan scholarship recipient Song Yuting reported on their growing experience and inspirations.  They expressed their gratitude to the country and the college and encouraged fellow students to pursue their dreams and make contributions to the country and Hwa Nan.

In the end, Deputy Secretary Ren Jianhong encourages scholarship recipients to treasure the honor, guard against arrogance and impetuosity, and study hard to reach new heights.  She hopes the scholarship recipients will play the exemplary role, lead others to study hard, and establish good practice of working hard and scaling high so as to lay solid foundation for getting established in the society and making contributions to the society.
