From July 9 to July 12, the Academy of Whole Person Education organized a four day study tour led by Executive Officer Ren Jianhong for thirty students and teachers to visit Jinling College of Nanjing Normal University.

During the four day tour, Jinling College arranged four lectures for teachers and students including “Jinling Women’s College History”, “Cultural Confidence and Gender Ideology”, “Laws on Protection of Women’s Rights and Interests” and “Research Topics on Marriage and Family”.  From the lectures, students reflected Jinling College motto “Improving people’s Life” and Hwa Nan motto “Having Received, I Ought to Give” have the same emphasis on serving the society and people.  The lectures also awakened students’ feminine consciousness and strengthened their belief in self reliance and self improvement.

Students and teachers from the Academy of Whole Person Education also visited Presidential Palace of Nanjing, Nanjing Museum and the Memorial of the Nanjing Massacre, experiencing long and inclusive Chinese civilization, feeling National Humiliation and embracing peace.

The study tour to Nanjing was warmly welcomed and fully supported by Jinling College.  As a way of learning for the Academy of Whole Person Education, this year’s study tour enhanced the exchanges of women’s education between two women’s colleges, increased students’ knowledge, broadened students’ horizons, engaged contemplative activities and achieved learning outcomes.
