Graduation Exhibition of Art and Design Department in “Three Alleys and Seven Lanes”

     

       From June 16 to 17, 2018 Graduation Design Exhibition from the Department of Art and Design of Fujian Hwa Nan Women’s College was held in Fuzhou historical tourist site “Three Alleys and Seven Lanes”.  This is one of the series activities for the celebration of the 110th anniversary.
     Attending the ribbon cutting and opening ceremony are Vice president Yuan Sulin from Fujian Women’s Federation, Consultant Luo Liping from Vocational and Continued Education Office of the Education Department of Fujian Province, Deputy Director Yao Wennan from Fuzhou Municipal Association of Vocational Education of China, Associate Dean Luo Liping from College of Fine Art of Fujian Normal University, Vice President Yu Feng from Fuzhou First Technician College, President Xiu Zhenping from Xuepin Group, and Chairman Lin Yun from Fujian TOFF Education and Culture Foundation.

     President Su Mengna made opening remarks.  She pointed out Clothing Design major is an old brand of the college which aims at training professional talents by emphasizing the combination of theory and practice in its teaching. Since the reestablishment of the college, graduation design exhibition has been held each year and it is a highly expected local event of Fuzhou city during the graduation season.

      Exhibited this year are graduation design works from five different majors, including thirty series of apparel design from Clothing Design major, twelve graduation design works from the majors of Digital Media Art Design and Art Design, fourteen from Interior Design major, and some others from Image Design.  The exhibition reflects the effects and outcome of teaching and learning.  It is also a product release show.

As part of the exhibition, artistic workshops of leather, wool felting, floral design, tea ceremony, doll clothing making, and embroidery were held on site.  During the two day exhibition, a continuous stream of visitors came to the exhibition.  They spoke highly of students’ graduation works and actively participated in the workshops.  The exhibition creates positive social effects.
