The project of International Faculty Teaching Model Building is about building English competency practice platform with in-class courses and out-of-class teaching activities on the basis of high quality international teaching team of the college. 

The model takes into considerations of student reality and explores an English teaching model adaptable to Chinese language learning environment.  In this model, Chinese and foreign teachers carry on in-class and out-of-class, on-campus and out-of-campus, online and off-line three dimensional teaching modes, and widely adopt methods of interactive teaching, seminar, group work and class presentation.     Its evaluation incorporates skit and English speeches, utilizing diverse, open, and real tasks to test English competency from practice perspective.  After ten years’ application and improvement, the model has been proved effective and widely accepted by students, schools, employers and academic society.  It has been promoted in and out of the college and has made outstanding contributions to the development of student English competency.

In recent years, Hwa Nan has taken initiative to adapt to the new norm of social and economic development, explore new path of talent cultivation, create new model of talent cultivation and push forward education and teaching reform.   Group of replicable experiences and fruitful results have been obtained.  College will further exert the impact of the award and steer faculty towards deepening comprehensive teaching reform, advancing major and curriculum development and upgrading talent cultivation quality.
