On the afternoon of May 23, the second competition of “The Best Lesson” was held in #4 Classroom Building, co-hosted by the Dean’s Office and the Labor Union on the purpose of encouraging young faculty’s commitment to teaching, boosting  passion for teaching, developing rigorous scholarship and enhancing teaching skill and quality.  The Best Lesson competition is also an important measure taken for upgrading education quality and faculty competency .

     Recommended by the departments and approved by the Teaching Supervision Group, eleven faculty members competed in the competition.  Scores were given to their teaching performance and PPT presentations by a panel composed of the Teaching Supervision Group and Department Chairs.  The competition attracted college administrators and teachers. The contestants were very well prepared for the competition, presenting wonderful teaching, demonstrating excellent skills and interacting actively with participants.   After fierce competition, Zhen Ting from the Department of Art and Design won the Special Prize.  Lin Cuicui and Huang Minyu from the Department of Business Administration won the first prizes.

      Professor Yue Feng , an academic leader of Philosophy and Social Science in Fujian Province, Ph. D. Supervisor, Chair of Education Department gave comments in the end.  He fully affirmed young faculty’s teaching skills and solid professional foundation, and put forward his precious advice and suggestions.
