Zheng Yuyan from Education Department won the second prize in FLTRP Cup English Speech Contest (Fujian region) held in Quanzhou Huaqiao University on Oct. 23rd 2016. FLTRP Speech contest hosted by Foreign Language Teaching and Research Press is a prestigious English-speaking contest in China. The contest includes three parts: prepared speech, live Q and impromptu speech. Contestants are judged by substance, delivery and pronunciation of their speeches. More than 160 students from universities of Fujian province contested this year. Contestants’ fluent English speech with appropriate body language and facial expression received rapturous applause from audience. After fierce competition, Zheng Yuyan got the second prize and won the honor for the college.
