On Feb. 28, the opening ceremony for the Academy of Whole Person Education was held in Classroom 2-102. The ceremony was presided over by Ren Jianhong, Deputy General Secretary and executive officer of the academy. The ceremony was attended by College President Su Mengna, President of the Academy of Whole Person Education Lin Benchun, executive officers Zhu Qing, Zheng Shaoying and forty-one students admitted to the academy from 2016 Class of Departments of Art and Design, International Business Management, Tourism Services, and Pre-school Education.
President Lin Benchun spoke sincerely about the objective for cultivating educated, reasonable, and excellent Hwa Nan girls. He also encouraged students to have vision, to work hard, to treasure the opportunity and to study happily in the academy. Executive Officer Ren Jianhong briefly introduced the course plan and the course schedule. The courses cover wide range of contents and will be presented in various forms including lecture, forum, salon, intern, and reading club. She also outlined the study requirements for students. At last, President Su made a speech and encouraged students to take up the opportunity, to combine learning and thinking, to make practical usage of the knowledge so as to enhance themselves.
